I am not one for modern technology. Give me carbon paper, a selectric typewriter or a quill pen and I feel in my element. That’s why as I make my maiden voyage in blogging, I feel a kinship with my 95 year old Aunt Helen and her new found technology excursion. Yesterday, she became the proud owner of very understated but powerful hearing aids. The verdict is still out whether she’ll bail during the 30 day trial or whether she’ll actually utilize the aids on a daily basis.
Getting back to my own challenge with modern technology, I utilize the internet daily. I partake in the vast ocean of “stuff” on the world wide web, but haven’t made the foray as a contributor. During the next thirty days, I’ll be overseas and will try web correspondence to instantly reach family, friends and anyone else who wants to follow my adventures. Like Aunt Helen, it will be a test of whether I can adapt to a new way of doing things, or whether my journaling will be by goose quill pen and ink!
