Kaufman Broadcast is proud to announce an upgrade to our HD encoding capabilities. Both C and KU uplinks and fly-pack are available with 10 Bit Adtec EN-100 encoders.
“The adoption of MPEG-4 contribution has happened relatively quickly within our industry. We believe that 10-bit MPEG-4 encoding offers superior quality throughout the entire transmission chain”, offered Chief Engineer Mike Witzel. “Our customers prefer MPEG-4 due to the significant bandwidth savings over MPEG-2. We can also multiplex several MPEG-4 paths together in the same bandwidth where historically you could only transmit two services of MPEG-2, which benefits our customers.”
The highest of transmission quality to your broadcasts is now within reach when using Kaufman Broadcast. To inquire more information on our recent upgrade, please contact Chief Engineer Mike Witzel, or others on the Kaufman Broadcast Team.
The Adtec EN-100 multicodec low-delay platform boasts AVC 4:2:2 10-bit, 8-bit, and 4:2:0 plus MPEG-2 4:2:2 and 4:2:0. The EN‐100 offers SD, 2D HD, 3D, and 4K (Ultra HD) synchronous AVC MPEG-4 encoding. The encoders also support legacy MPEG-2.
